Intertek China colleagues donate more than 870 kg of clothing and books
From April to June, Intertek colleagues across China came together for a clothing and book donation campaign, giving pre-loved items a new purpose while supporting communities in need.
The initiative brought together 17 business lines across nine regions, collecting nearly 760 kg of clothing and over 115 kg of books. Colleagues were encouraged to donate items they no longer needed, extending their useful life and contributing to more sustainable consumption.
Working with Chinese recycling and sustainability platform Feimayi, donated clothing will be directed through channels including textile recycling, second-hand circulation, reuse and upcycling. Donated books may be redistributed to communities in need or responsibly recycled, helping to ensure that the items collected continue to deliver value.
The initiative reflects how everyday choices that support a more circular economy can benefit both people and the planet, particularly when we come together to maximise impact.
